Our client is a 77 year old national engineering firm offering planning, engineering, and program management services.
Project management, client management and marketing potential clients for municipal projects in Central Texas is the primary focus of this position. Plan and manage all aspects of small, medium and large water/wastewater, and/or roadway projects. Independently coordinates the work of engineers, designers/draft persons and subconsultants throughout the project’s execution. Establish and maintain client relations. Is involved with marketing, contractual development, and design execution. Participates in reviews with various governing agencies for code and regulatory compliance. Is responsible to coordinate workload throughout the project, from initial plan development to completed project design, ensuring projects are within budget and on schedule. Is responsible for managing the financial aspects of assigned engineering projects; coordinating and adjusting the work effort within the project team to ensure project work is completed on schedule and within allocated budget. Capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects and clients. Works with Accounting and Department Manager for project reviews. Serves as Team Leader for Central Texas Infrastructure Group.
10+ years related experience
Professional Engineer Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Planning, design, and/or management experience for water, wastewater, and/or roadway projects Business development experience
Client relationships with Central Texas municipalities, counties, and river authorities
High level presentation and communication skills
Bachelor or Master of Civil Engineering
***This can be either of the two roles but not a promotion situation unless the candidate is stellar.
The ideal candidate will have AUSTIN regional experience in PROJECT MANAGEMENT and BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT.
