Finance Manager


Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to join their Finance team. Working with the SVP, Finance Director, the Finance Manager’s primary focus is to provide financial support to the company’s International offices, though this position is located in Dallas. This is a highly visible position suitable for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, service-focused individual.


We’re looking for someone who will bring intellectual curiosity, determination and creativity to his/her work. The ideal candidate will be confident and  insightful, think strategically, and communicate accurately and concisely.


Key Accountabilities:


Close, Budgeting and Forecasting Support

Work with local office leadership and the SVP, Finance Director with preparation of quarterly budget review meetings

Provide biweekly forecast against budget and variance analysis

Track and analyze office expenses

Provide ad hoc financial data necessary for leaders to make informed decisions

Assist VP, Finance Director with monthly P&L analysis

Play an active role in the month end close process



Finance & Analysis

Track and monitor submitted project budgets (budgets vs. actuals)

Prepare and review job cost reports for projects

Reconcile and explain job cost variance, with help of Producer, within two months of the conclusion of a project

Prepare flash forecasts of variances to project budgets as required

Project Set-Up, Maintenance, and Review

Set up projects in SAP accounting system & update data throughout the lifecycle of the project

Properly categorize billings and costs throughout the lifecycle of the project

Monitor financial results of jobs in progress and at completion. Work with account teams to ensure financial accuracy

Ensure that all documentation for revenue recognition is complete and accurately processed.

Review credit balances, refunds, and adjustments and work with VP, Finance Director on resolving any discrepancies




BA/BS degree, preferably in accounting or finance

5-7 years of related experience

Strong proficiency in excel

Strong knowledge of financial reporting systems; Hyperion and SAP preferred but not required

Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
